The 2008 GAAD national competition will be held on Saturday July 12. The GAAD competition is an outdoor flight competition involving free flight rubber band powered aircraft and gliders. Competitors 10 to 18 years of age will build, test fly, and compete with their model aircraft for a variety of awards and prizes, including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University tuition scholarships totalling over $25,000.
